Steel is generally divided into two forms, hot and cold rolled. The basic products of cold rolled production are sheets and coils rolled under temperature conditions, further rolling, strain annealing and repeated mild rolling. This procedure guarantees an even substructure and a quality material surface, superior to the cold rolling method. Products rolled under temperature conditions are commonly used
in the engineering, building and energy industries. Rolled steel has excellent welding qualities. Cold rolled products are commonly used in the automotive, electrical, food and building industries. Cold rolled products can be finished with zinc or plastic coating or can go through a tinning process. This finishing technique lends itself to furniture production and the white goods industry.
